Portable 4Gas Detector
Portable 4Gas Detector
The GX-Force was developed as a portable four gas detector offering high quality and usability.
Unlike disposable gas detectors, it can be used repeatedly without disposal.
Simple structural design optimized to deliver the function required by users,
achieving a more compact size and reduced weight in comparison with previous generation models.
Reduction of materials by downsizing and weight reduction, and reduction of waste by reducing the number of parts are also realized.
Equipped with a new R sensor developed in-house, the sensor*¹ has a 3-year warranty and can be used for a long period of time, resulting in high cost performance. It also achieves low power consumption and long (30h) continuous use.
*1: An annual inspection by the manufacturer is required as a condition of the 3-year warranty.
It has a very tough construction, including IP67, and has a long service life.
The unit is easy to maintain, and can be used for *² around 7–10 years with proper maintenance.
*2: The number of years of use will vary depending on the frequency of use and the impact of the usage environment.
The built-in pump means that a single unit is enough to handle various applications.
It is possible for operators to reduce (or review) the number of gas detectors currently in use.
A variety of optional products are also available to support a wide range of applications.
Eliminates the need for troublesome calculation. Allows direct of 27 different combustible gas types.
*Setting are retained even when power is turned on and off.
Setting can be changed/configured on the GX-Force main unit. Supports control and management in accordance with the customer’s own criteria.
Indicates that the product is functioning normally. The buzzer sounds at preset intervals while measurement is underway.
Indicates the number of days until recommended regular maintenance when the power is turned on. Reminds the user to perform maintenance to ensure safe use.
The GX-Force incorporates/utilizes the newly developed R Sensor series.
The R Sensor features dramatically improved performance over conventional sensors.
The sensors are covered by a 3-year warranty* for peace of mind.
Though construction with excellent toxicity and impact resistance
Electrochemical type with greatly improved basic characteristics
2-in 1 dual construction for compact main unit
Two-sensor configuration minimizes H2 interference
Before working in the confinement space, the oxygen concentration and toxic gas inside can be checked to ensure safety.
Despite its built-in pump, the lightweight and compact design allows it to be used without getting in the way of work.
Various sampling probes are also available, allowing leak detection at high or narrow locations and pinpoint measurement of specific locations.
Our gas detector performance has improved to allow safe and secure use across a variety of sites.
GX-Force was created with the aim of developing reflecting the views expressed at usage sites to achieve a high degree of satisfaction at all sites.
Since the detector can be used across a wide range of temperatures to reduce the impact of interventions due to hydrogen, workers can focus on tasks with few worries about work interruptions.
At a severe fire of disaster site, the detector may be splashed with rain or water, but the activities at the site are not disturbed as there is little risk of malfunction.
Use the lightweight GX-Force for long periods across the work area of a petroleum plant to reduce the load on workers.
When performing gas detection in dark locations, tasks can be carried out with increased visibility close at hand thanks to the built-in LED light.
Increase work efficiency by reducing the risk of dropping even when wearing thick protective gloves with an easily grippable grip design and hand softwrap.
Thanks to the incredible lightness of 300g, the user can attach the detector to their belt with the optional belt clip without discomfort, so that it does not interfere with in confined spaces.

Since our company was founded in 1939 under the umbrella conglomerate of RIKEN, our management philosophy has been to create safe working environments. Our science and technology research laboratories have developed industrial gas detection warning devices, specializing in monitoring harmful gases in the work environment, as well as for explosion prevention from combustible gases. Without compromise, we continue to challenge ourselves to be technological leaders, developing and manufacturing a wide range of industrial gas detection systems and monitors. From large-scale gas detecting alarm systems to small-sized personal gas monitors for safety protection; used in many industries including semiconductor and LCD plants, petroleum complexes, steelworks, various tankers, oil storage stations, underground gas facilities, and volcanoes.
The “RIKEN Gas Detector” utilizing the principle of light wave interference, was exhibited at the 1937 Paris World Exposition. Its subsequent use greatly contributed to the prevention of accidents in coal mines where many fatalities were prevalent at the time. On the 15th March 2019 we celebrated our 80th anniversary. Supported by our history and tradition we shall further improve long established technology, and continue to innovative. Developing reliable quality products in response to the diverse needs of industry.
